Big Brother Update: Steven makes a Big Brother Racial Slur about Libra

Published by realfan under Entertainment Edit This

Everything moves so fast within the Big Brother house. This is what makes this show, so addictive. Within minutes, anything can change and often will. A few things to consider, after the prime time audience was cut off from the Big Brother house.

The live feeds action, is where all of the real action is. After your flat screen tuned out Big Brother last night, a few things began to happen. Actually, a lot of things happened last night, with some real consequences that will touch everyone that watches this show.

Steven comes out of his closet. Now, everyone knows that Steven is a real cowboy. Ok, they already knew he was a cowboy, now the house guests know that Steven is gay. Also, Steven is not just a gay cowboy, he is a politically incorrect gay cowboy; with racial overtones.

Steven begins talking BB “game” with Brian and Dan. He is ripping on Libra and refers to her as, “that colored girl”. Ohh, Steven…. You did it now. What is that saying?…. Oh yeah. ” Give someone enough rope and they’ll hang themselves with it.” Damn, Steven, you are a cowboy, for God’s sake. I don’t think you will be able to hog tie this one down at all.

This is a video byte of Steven trying to lasso a Libra.

Steven referred to Libra is being colored, not colorful. I have to wonder if the Big Brother political correctness team, will intervene soon. Steven, where on earth were you born? You left your barn door wide open on this one!

Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but not in front of millions of people and not about issues that will explode into the media, as a detractor from this reality show. Steven, the cowboy, may be a lot of things; one of them being, socially ignorant.

It’s sad, that one of those questions that Big Brother should have asked Steven, before letting him on Big Brother was; ” Are you socially, consciously aware of today’s issues?” But, alas, CBS, did not think about this in time.

It is truly a shame, Big Brother did not ask Evil Dick, if he had a moral compass, before letting him be a poster boy for Big Brother. Yet, this is the way the compass turns for everyone. We, the people, elected Evil Dick to be that poster child.

Being gay is pretty much an excepted part of reality shows and society these days. Racial injustice is still a sore subject for all of us. In both cases, our American culture is still dealing with learning curves, on both of these social issues. It’s funny, we gauge all of this as being, “politically correct, or incorrect”. Politics has come a long way to include a lot of social ignorance into this definition of, “political correctness”.

For a openly gay cowboy, to refer to a black woman, as “colored”; will not be the end of the world, but it sure will invite a lot of criticism from many fronts. This comment that Steven made will not be “passed over”. To be sure, It’s very bizzare, that this involves two segments of society, that are of “taboo” issues.

If Libra had referred to Steven as being, “that queer”, it’s really hard to guess what could have, or would have been a public response.

It will be interesting to see how CBS will play into this role, as a mediator; if at all. But, you can bet, this will be the start of something that we will probably see played out on a few news show and the Larry King show, if not Oprah.

Stay tuned to Big Brother, or your favorite news station, or this blog for any updates.

Big Brother 10 on CBS Update: Jerry is HOH and POV Winner of Big Brother!

Published by realfan under Entertainment Edit This

Let the Big Brother games begin! Faster than you can say, “strategy” it all starts to happen within minutes. Of course everyone is on their best behavior, then things begin to head south. This is Big Brother, what else would happen?

The BB game has started and the paint on the scoreboard has not even dried yet, still tacky; along with some of the behavior we caught a glimpse of last night. Looks like a couple of the contestants just can’t help themselves, from being who they really are.

Nominations for Head of Household was held almost immediately last night. I guess everyone felt safe with Jerry, to be impartial. He also has PoV, power of veto.

Before you can say “Big Brother”, after nominations, Brian went to work on Jerry to form an alliance with him. Yet, Jerry was not aware of the other alliances, Brian had formed already.

Jerry had a strategy before even entering the Big Brother house. You have to wonder, is Jerry’s game plan being tossed out of the house now?

This is a video byte from last night of the nominations for the block. I thought Jerry was very fair about it all, considering that Brian was an added influence. There was not a lot of time to actually make any strategies yet, except for Jerry to hit on two of the house guests that were involved with the first Big Brother “brew, ha-ha”.

Warning, This information below, would be considered a spoiler. Read at your own risk of being updated, before the Tuesday night show of BB 10.

After eliminations, the Big Brother show on prime time ends, then its time for the live feeds to kick in and Big Brother, “the real, reality show” to kick into high gear.

Jerry learns about Brian’s other pacts, within the house, last night. It did not make Jerry a happy camper, to discover that the first person he brings into his circle, is already playing the Big Brother game, with other players. Jerry also has POV, which could put Brian in an awkward moment, if Jerry takes someone off the block and replaces that person with Brian.

We shall see, what we shall see about how things will either remain the same or change. Big Brother is all about everything changing in moments from the “live eviction.”
